I greatly enjoyed this darkly enchanting tale. The beautiful world building, coupled with intricate magic will leave the reader craving more.

I loved A Darker Shade of Magic. It challenged the rut of novels I felt like I've been drawn towards in the past, with it's sense of how magic works, and the eternal struggle of good vs. evil, and humanity in general.

From the Corner of the Oval weaves vivid storytelling, and draws the reader in. It provides a unique, and extremely human, lens on the world we so often only see described by pundits. What I loved most however, was it felt like I was getting a story told to me by my older sister.
