I was looking for an easy to read romance. Well I got it, and it did hit what should have been all my favorite notes in a Scottish romance, but I didn't fall in love with it.

The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
This story was such an amazing breath of fresh air. With rich characters, vivid world building, a world steeped in history and tradition, and a complex and varied plot. The City of Brass was a delight to read.
