2021 Wrap Up

It was another ‘unprecedented year’ but for me it was a year of starting new ventures, like Imagined by Starlight, a new job, as well as moving to a new apartment. I had a lot of new beginnings and I finally reached out to professionals to get help tackling my mental health. Something I’ve talked about a bit on the blog because I think the stigma of mental health needs to be something we all address, so the stigma goes away.

Now that I’ve got proper brain chemistry, and a handle on my new job I’ve slowly started learning how to read again. This means I’ve had less time to sit down with physical books and more time that I’ve been reading via audiobook. It means I’m exposed to different kinds of stories and different kinds of storytelling. Which means sharing with you has changed. I’m getting through less books, but personally I feel like putting out better content and able to give more of myself to the book world.

This year I read more nonfiction than ever before, it’s been a new venture for me and one that I’m proud of. I also explored some new podcasts! It’s been a year of new content and trying to learn more about the world we live in, while still enjoying the fantasy and fiction genres I’ve always loved.

I don’t know if anyone else enjoys looking back at their books year, and year in review statistics like I do. Here’s an infographic I had way too much fun making.
