Getting Started

Well, I don’t expect this to be what gets me truly up and running. After all, this is the first post. I need to get into habits again. My goal this year was to read/reread at least 52 books, hopefully that sets a steady update schedule. We will see.

My previous blog was scattered and a hodgepodge of everything (UW College Cowgirl). I’m going to try and keep things a little more streamlined here. I also knew that my advice and premise of the last blog couldn’t be updated to a more modern me. The girl who started writing blog posts several years ago, she grew up. In so many ways.

Here I’m going to keep it simple here. Or try to.

Books, traveling. My two main passions in life. I’ll throw in little adventures along the way. And  if NaNoWriMo gets it’s way I might even have some writing. Soon I’ll give you a review of Sarah J. Maas’ most recent Throne of Glass (ToG) novel, Empire of Storms.

For now here is what I am currently reading, and rereading.

  • The Magician by Michael Scott
  • City of Lost Dreams by Magnus Flyte
  • The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
  • The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
  • Fall of Giants by Ken Follet
  • The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
  • The Thieves of Manhattan by Adam Langer
  • The Witch’s Daughter by Paula Brackston
  • Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
  • Why Women Should Rule the World by Dee Dee Meyers

If you’re interested in any of them, please check out my Goodreads where you can see what I’m currently reading and find out more about the books and the authors!

I’m excited to start this journey, share some of the thing I love doing, and can’t wait to see the path ahead.
