This week I read a book that I'd been so excited to finally have in my hands. This book would have been a stunner at any time. But with the protests that are currently happening? It hits so close to home. It resonates on another frequency.
The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
This story was such an amazing breath of fresh air. With rich characters, vivid world building, a world steeped in history and tradition, and a complex and varied plot. The City of Brass was a delight to read.
Good Omens by Terry Prachett and Neil Gaiman
This has won its way to my favorite books shelf in a heartbeat. I know this is a story I will come back to again and again.

Throw in a dark romantic stranger, a curse plaguing your household a best friend who'd follow you to the end of the earth, and ghosts playing with your sanity, you're left with a haunting tale.
Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand
Consumed by their own horrors, tragedy, or inner struggles Zoey, Val, and Marion take you on a terrifying adventure.

The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young
Adrienne cemented herself as one of my dearly beloved authors with Sky In The Deep, and The Girl The Sea Gave Back is a heart rending sophomore novel that will keep you looking for the specific kind of pain, and joy that Adrienne creates.
The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
I'm so grateful to have been able to join along on this strange journey, here's to the final chapter of the Raven Cycle.
Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater
Finally, the world is starting to shift. Things are becoming stranger, and I didn't realize they could. Another breathtaking installment in The Raven Cycle.
